This site showcases my independent research on environmental motifs in three Studio Ghibli films: Princess Mononoke, Ponyo, and My Neighbor Totoro. I’ve manually coded recurring ecological themes into a structured spreadsheet, and built this website to make that data accessible to researchers, students, and fans. The project involves spreadsheet design, motif tracking, HTML and CSS development, and preparing for interactive data visualizations. It’s part of a broader effort to bridge literary analysis and digital humanities by turning close readings into visual, public-facing tools.
